  • TCIA Collections "The image data in The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) is organized into purpose-built collections of subjects. The subjects typically have a cancer type and/or anatomical site (lung, brain, etc.) in common. Each link in the table below contains information concerning the scientific value of a collection, information about how to obtain any supporting non-image data which may be available, and links to view or download the imaging data. To support reproducibility in scientific research, TCIA supports Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) which allow users to share subsets of TCIA data referenced in a research manuscript. You can subscribe to our social media feeds to be notified of new collections and changes to existing collections. If you have comments or suggestions you would like to share, add it to our idea informer page!"
  • Of Big Brains and Tiny Devices: Here Comes the Internet of the Body.        Bruno Michael, IBM

Data

  • Amsterdam Data Science "Meet our top data scientists Link with our world-class research, education and valorisation talent."
  • Cisco Data Virtualization "Access, integrate, and deliver up-to-the minute data with Cisco Data Virtualization. Query data across the network as if it were in a single place. Fulfill business demand for an integrated enterprise, cloud, and big data far faster than extract, transform, load (ETL) warehousing, at a much lower cost."

Niet-commerciele organisaties en systemen

  • ESR, Screening & beyond Each year since 2012, as a part of its celebration of the International Day of Radiology (IDoR), the European Society of Radiology (ESR) has brought together several professional medical societies to create a special book to demonstrate the dedication, hard work and special skills of a particular radiological topic.
  • IHE: IHE Quality, Research and Public Health Domain (QRPH) addresses the infrastructure and content necessary to: 1. share information relevant to quality improvement, 2.improve the liaison between the primary care system and 3.clinical research and provide population base health surveillance.
  • HIMMS: "HIMSS is a global, cause-based, not-for-profit organization focused on better health through information technology (IT)."
  • DIAM:  "Jointly developed by HIMSS Analytics® and the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the Digital Imaging Adoption Model (DIAM) helps to evaluate the maturity of IT-supported processes in medical imaging in both hospitals and diagnostic centres."

Mammografie technieken

  • Liquid biopsy (wikipedia) "also known as fluid biopsy or fluid phase biopsy, is the sampling and analysis of non-solid biological tissue, primarily blood.[1] Like traditional biopsy this type of technique is mainly used as a diagnostic and monitoring tool for diseases such as cancer, with the added benefit of being largely non-invasive."
  • Interventional ductoscopy to treat (pre)malignant breast disease: the EVAPORATE study
Dr.M.B.I. Lobbes (radioloog), Mevr.
  • Tomosynthese (Wikipedia)  "a method for performing high-resolution limited-angle tomography at radiographic dose levels."
  • Principles of Breast Tomosynthesis Acquisition and Reconstruction (Vimeo,Dr. Andrew D. Maidment, PhD) "Learning Objectives: 1) Review the state-of-the-art in DBT system design  2) Understand the difference between breast tomosynthesis and dedicated breast CT.  3) Appreciate the physics involved in the development and optimization of breast tomosynthesis. 4) Understand the clinical promise and concerns of using breast" tomosynthesis.
  • Recent Advances in Breast Tomography (Vimeo, Wei Zhao, PhD, SUNY Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY, 11794-8460, US) "In this presentation, an overview of the following aspects of DBT will be provided: 1. Different approaches to system implementation of DBT, and their advantages and limitations;  2. Comparison of different image reconstruction methods, including filtered back projection (FBP) and iterative reconstruction;  3. Special considerations for DBT compared to conventional projection mammography: scattered radiation, x-ray spectrum and detector performance;  4. Methods for the evaluation and optimization of DBT image quality;  5. Clinical results of breast cancer detection using DBT and its comparison with projection mammography; 6. Combination of DBT with other 3D imaging methods for multi-modality breast imaging applications."
